Why MaCher Australia Became a Certified B Corp

MaCher Australia is proud to be B Corp Certified.

At MaCher Australia, we believe packaging and branded products should do more than just hold product. They should tell a story, represent a brand’s values, and above all, be created with respect for people and the planet. That’s why becoming a Certified B Corporation (B Corp) was such an important step for us. It’s not only recognition of the work we’ve been doing in sustainable packaging solutions and product design, it’s a commitment to keep improving and leading by example in our industry.

What is B Corp Certification?

B Corp Certification is awarded by B Lab, a global nonprofit network that measures businesses against the highest standards of social and environmental performance, accountability, and transparency. Unlike certifications that focus on only one area – like material sourcing, carbon footprint, or workplace practices – B Corp looks at the whole picture. From ethical supply chains and employee wellbeing, to environmental impact and customer benefit, every part of our business is evaluated by an independent auditor.

Why Did MaCher Australia Choose B Corp?

For over 40 years, MaCher has been designing and manufacturing premium packaging and custom products for wine, liquor, and luxury beauty brands. Over that time, we’ve seen the importance of our values driven team, transparent, ethical supply chains, and passionate product stewardship. We know that responsible product and packaging design can be a powerful force for change and we want to partner with our clients to deliver the best solutions possible.

After years of working on our business and our product offering, we wanted to back up our values with a certification that proves we’re walking the talk. The B Impact Assessment  and subsequent B Corp Verification Audit required us to examine everything we do – from sourcing FSC-certified and recycled content materials, to designing recyclable packaging alternatives that eliminate single-use plastics, to measuring and reducing carbon emissions. It wasn’t an easy process, but that’s the point. Earning B Corp status means being held accountable, and that accountability pushes us to innovate and do better.

What This Means for Our Clients

For our clients in the wine, liquor, and beauty industries, B Corp Certification means you can trust that your packaging and products are not only beautifully designed, but also responsibly made. It also means we can confidently support client targets in the areas of responsibly sourcing, supply chain transparency and reporting. Whether it’s a luxury rigid board gift box, a reusable and recyclable tin, or a thoughtfully manufactured cosmetic bag, our solutions combine premium finishes with environmentally responsible materials.

When you choose MaCher Australia, you’re choosing a partner that values circular design, recyclable packaging, and sustainable materials just as much as you do. Together, we can create solutions that enhances your brand experience while reducing environmental impact.

Part of a Global Movement

Joining the global community of B Corps connects us with thousands of like-minded businesses who are redefining what it means to be successful. It’s no longer just about profit, it’s about creating value for people, communities, and the planet. For us, it means being part of something bigger than packaging and products, a movement that believes in using business as a force for good.

Our Ongoing Commitment

B Corp Certification is not the end of the journey, it’s just the beginning. We’ll continue to innovate with sustainable materials, explore ways to reduce our carbon footprint, and strengthen transparency in our ethical sourcing practices. Every three years, we’ll recertify, proving again that we’re not just keeping up with industry standards, but raising them.

At MaCher Australia, we’re proud to be a Certified B Corporation and to set a standard for sustainable luxury packaging and product design in Australia and beyond. Because to us, business success isn’t just measured in sales, it’s measured in the positive impact we can leave behind.
