Made from a monomaterial (cardboard) and printed with soy ink, the box was fully recyclable, aligning with Penfolds’, retailer and consumer expectations for sustainable packaging. It packed flat for shipping and storage, minimising transport emissions. And by consolidating multiple seasonal SKUs into one, Penfolds significantly reduced material waste, promotion inefficiencies, and the risk of surplus packaging going unused.
