Explosive colour with Revlon GWP Campaign

We love collaborating with Revlon, developing custom, on-trend GWP (Gift With Purchase) campaigns that inject fashion-forward energy into the Revlon brand during a key promotional periods.
The Challenge
The brief for this project was clear: design a custom Revlon cosmetic bag that would serve as a GWP for two major Australian retailers, with each retailer requiring its own exclusive version. Because this campaign was being developed nine months ahead of its in-store launch, it was crucial that our design work with upcoming fashion trend forecasts.
Our challenge was to deliver a cosmetic bag that would feel fresh and stylish in the peak of summer, reflect Revlon’s brand identity, and merchandise beautifully in store. On top of that, the design needed to photograph well for online campaigns and social media to maintain consistency across every customer touchpoint.
Our Process
Our process started with a deep dive into fashion forecasting. Our team prepared a comprehensive report on the colour and pattern trends predicted to dominate the upcoming summer season. From there, we created a selection of cosmetic bag design concepts that balanced aspirational fashion with Revlon’s distinct branding.
Revlon selected two bold, hyper-saturated colourways, one for each retailer, allowing us to create exclusive GWP offers that felt unique, while maintaining a cohesive campaign look. This approach ensured that each retailer had a unique promotion designed to draw attention in store.
Designing for Impact
When we design a GWP, we know it needs to stand out in a crowded retail space. For Revlon, we knew the vibrant colour palette would immediately draw the eye in busy beauty aisles. The bags were designed as a free-standing style, which allowed in-store teams to merchandise them quickly and easily without additional display fixtures.
To clearly communicate the offer and highlight the value of the promotion, we used a printed bellyband for each cosmetic bag. The bellyband not only showcased the pack contents but also helped differentiate the two retailers’ exclusive offers.
The Results
The Revlon GWP campaign achieved its goal of increasing sales and creating excitement during the summer promotional period. Customers loved the vibrant, fashion-forward cosmetic bags.
